Terms of use
Last updated: 14.09.2026
1. Publisher
The Olocal platform (the “Service”) is published and operated by Olocal Sàrl, Côtes de Montbenon 30, 1003 Lausanne, Switzerland (“Olocal”, “we”). Contact: olocal@olocal.ch.
2. Purpose
These terms of use (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of the Service, which allows consumers to discover local businesses and benefit from offers made by partners. By using the Service, you accept these Terms.
3. The Service
Olocal lists offers from partner businesses. The consumer discovers an offer, enters their mobile number, receives a link or code by SMS, then shows their personal QR code to the partner to benefit from the offer, under that offer’s own conditions.
4. Account and login
Your mobile phone number is the main login for the account. You agree to provide accurate information and not to use someone else’s number without their consent.
5. Consent and communications
Using the Service involves double consent: accepting these Terms and then, where applicable, expressly allowing a partner to send you communications by SMS and/or email for a set period. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
6. Using the offers
Each offer is subject to its own conditions set by the partner (minimum spend, validity period, quantities, booking, etc.). Offers are provided and honoured under the sole responsibility of the partners. Olocal is not a party to the contract between the consumer and the partner.
One offer at a time. As long as an active booking has not been honoured or cancelled, you cannot make a new one. Once your offer has been used, your right reopens when you answer the satisfaction survey sent after your visit.
Repeated no-shows. A booking cancelled in advance is never counted as a no-show. However, after 3 uncancelled no-shows within 6 months, the account is temporarily suspended from new bookings for 91 days, to keep places available for other members.
7. User obligations
- using the Service in good faith and in accordance with the law;
- not attempting to get around the limits on using the offers;
- not interfering with the operation or security of the Service.
8. Personal data
Personal data is processed in accordance with Swiss law (nFADP) and, where applicable, the GDPR. Details are given in our privacy policy.
9. Intellectual property
The Olocal brand, the website, its content and its structure are protected. Any reproduction without permission is prohibited. Partner content (photos, texts, brands) remains their property.
10. Liability
The Service is provided “as is”. Olocal takes reasonable steps to ensure its availability and accuracy, without guaranteeing it will be free from interruptions or errors. Olocal cannot be held liable for the performance of offers by partners or for indirect damage.
11. Changes to the Terms
Olocal may change these Terms at any time. The applicable version is the one in force when the Service is used.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Swiss law. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Lausanne, subject to any mandatory jurisdiction.
This text was updated on 14.09.2026 to reflect how the Service actually works (nFADP, one offer at a time, no-show policy) under current Swiss law. We still recommend having it reviewed by a legal adviser before any major commercial change (paid products, new data processing, etc.).
